Cargo insurance

Cargo insurance is a type of property insurance that covers shipments during transport. Since liability of carriers is limited, cargo insurance is essentially the only way to comprehensively protect shipments from imminent risks. This type of insurance also reflects the means of transport (by land, sea or air), and possible specific risks of your shipment (such as contamination or spoiling).

The insurance can be arranged by your company as a forwarder or carrier, or by the shipment owner.
